Hello all.
Some days are packed from morning to night, but when you have strong routines and a positive mindset, it’s possible to fit everything in without feeling overwhelmed.
Today was one of those non-stop days, yet I still made time for my breathing exercises, cold shower, and meditation before getting stuck into a productive day filled with work, technical problem-solving, and personal growth.
Starting the Day with Control and Purpose
As always, my morning routine set the tone for the day:
☑️ Wim Hof breathing exercises to energize my body and clear my mind.
☑️ A cold shower to boost circulation, resilience, and mental clarity.
☑️ 15 minutes of meditation to ground myself before the day’s tasks began.
I’ve come to appreciate just how much these simple but powerful habits help me stay in control—mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Before heading to work, I had a quick but meaningful meeting with a parent who needed help setting up a live stream for a church ceremony happening next week. The goal was to allow family members from around the world to attend virtually.
Technology can be a challenge for some, and I was happy to offer guidance on the best streaming setup to make sure their family could experience this special event together. It always feels good to help others connect in meaningful ways.
With that sorted, I jumped on my bike and cycled to work, feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day ahead.
Fixing a Nightmare Paper Jam
After work, I made my way to a small office in town where I had been asked to help fix one of the worst printer jams imaginable.
🖨️ The paper wasn’t just stuck—it had concertinaed deep inside the printer.
🛠️ I had to unscrew and dismantle various parts of the machine to gain proper access.
💪 Patience and problem-solving were key as I carefully extracted each piece of jammed paper, one sheet at a time.
It took just over an hour, but with perseverance and an understanding of how the photocopier worked, I was able to clear the jam and get the printer running smoothly again.
The office staff were incredibly grateful, and I walked away satisfied with a job well done. There’s something deeply rewarding about solving technical challenges—especially when they make a real difference for others.
Fixing an Xbox One Console
With Fearne at dance class until late, I took the opportunity to fix an Xbox One console that had been dropped off at my house.
🎮 The problem: It wasn’t installing game updates, preventing any games from being played.
💾 The solution: I manually downloaded the missing updates onto a USB stick and installed them directly onto the console.
Most updates installed successfully, but Minecraft stubbornly refused to update. I tried multiple fixes but, for the moment, the issue remained unresolved.
Rather than forcing a solution immediately, I decided to step away and revisit the problem over the weekend. Sometimes, a fresh perspective makes all the difference.
If necessary, I’ll uninstall and reinstall the game as a last resort. It’s all part of the troubleshooting process, and I’m determined to get it working.
A Commitment to Better Sleep
Lately, I’ve been thinking about optimizing my sleep to further enhance my health and daily performance.
Right now, I average 5-6 hours of sleep per night, but I know my body needs more. My goal is to:
🌙 Increase this to 7 hours on weekdays
☀️ Aim for 8 hours on weekends
I took a big step tonight by going to bed at 10:30 PM—earlier than usual. My plan is to gradually adjust my body clock so that I naturally wake up at 6:00 AM feeling refreshed and energized.
This will be a challenge since I have a habit of staying up past midnight, but I’m fully committed to making this change. Just like my morning routine, good sleep is a foundation for success.
Reflections on the Day
Today was a full but fulfilling day, proving that with the right routines and mindset, I can:
✅ Stay consistent with my morning habits.
✅ Help others with technical challenges.
✅ Balance personal projects with work and family time.
✅ Take steps toward better sleep and overall well-being.
This is the kind of lifestyle balance I want to continue cultivating—productive, helpful, and always growing.
