"Each day is an opportunity to reset, refresh, and grow. I embrace productivity, play, and rest in perfect balance."
Hello all.
Sunday is meant to be a day of rest, reflection, and preparation for the week ahead. This week was no exception. With Juli and Henry still in London after watching England vs. Italy in Twickenham, it was just Fearne and me again, making the most of our time together.
The day started with a lesson on morning routines and why they’re important, followed by a deep home reset, a trip to a cafรฉ, and some much-needed relaxation and fun. I also took the opportunity to attend my Freemasons practice, ensuring I was ready for the upcoming ceremony on Wednesday evening.
It was a well-rounded day, full of productivity, bonding, and self-care, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to close out the weekend.
Starting the Day with a Lesson on Routine
The first thing Fearne did when she woke up was grab her tablet and dive straight into watching videos. While I’m not against screen time, I believe that starting the day with intention is important.
I reminded her:
"Sunday is a day of rest, but that doesn’t mean we start the day with technology. We still have a routine to follow, so we can feel refreshed and have a productive day ahead."
She listened and understood, taking the time to:
✔️ Have her breakfast (scrambled eggs)
✔️ Brush her teeth
✔️ Wash her face
✔️ Get herself sorted
After that, she crawled back into bed with her tablet, and I let it slide—after all, it was Sunday, and we all deserve a bit of a break.
A Home Cleaning Reset: A Fresh Start for the Week
With the house to ourselves, I saw the perfect opportunity to do a full home reset.
๐งบ We stripped our beds and washed all the bed sheets
๐งผ Cleaned all the plates and cutlery and loaded the dishwasher
๐ Folded up all the clean clothes and either put them away or left them neatly for others
๐งน Hoovered every room, which turned out to be surprisingly satisfying—so much dust and dirt collected!
๐ช Fearne took charge of the dusting and window cleaning, determined to get every corner spotless
It was genuinely impressive how much effort Fearne put into helping. When she’s motivated, she’s an amazing little helper, and it’s lovely to see her take pride in what she does.
After spending the entire morning cleaning, the house felt lighter, fresher, and more relaxing. It’s amazing how a clean space can impact your mood.
To reward ourselves for the hard work, I took Fearne to a local cafรฉ, where she got to enjoy something from the children’s menu.
An Afternoon of Fun and Energy
Once we returned home, Fearne was bursting with energy. Over the next few hours, she:
๐ถ Sang along to her favourite music
๐♀️ Jumped on the trampoline
๐ Danced around the house
๐บ Watched The Floor is Lava on Netflix
In between the fun, we also tuned in to watch a bit of the England vs. Italy rugby match, hoping to catch a glimpse of Juli and Henry in the crowd. Unfortunately, we didn’t spot them, but the game itself was still great to watch.
It was heart-warming to see Fearne enjoying herself so much. Sundays should always have a balance between productivity and fun, and today definitely delivered.
A Playdate & Freemasons Practice
Around 4:00 PM, Fearne went on a playdate for a couple of hours, which gave me the perfect window of time to attend my Freemasons practice in preparation for our upcoming meeting on Wednesday evening.
We’re getting ready for a Third Degree Ceremony, where a candidate will finally complete their journey to becoming a Master Mason. The practice went incredibly well, and I’m optimistic that the ceremony will be fantastic.
There’s something deeply fulfilling about these Masonic gatherings—they offer a chance for growth, tradition, and brotherhood, all while preserving centuries of knowledge and symbolism.
An Evening of Relaxation & Quality Time
By the time I returned home, Fearne was just getting dropped off from her playdate, and we settled in for a cosy evening together.
๐บ We watched more Netflix shows
๐ฎ Played some fun games
๐ Fearne had a relaxing bath
๐️ I put fresh sheets on the beds, making them feel extra cozy
Fearne fell asleep around 9:30 PM, exhausted after such a full day.
I took the time to do a quick reset of the house, making sure everything was tidy before moving into my own evening routine:
✅ Wim Hof deep breathing exercises
๐ฟ A cold shower
๐ Winding down for the night
By 11:00 PM, I was in bed, feeling content and at peace after a fulfilling day.
Later that night, Juli and Henry returned from their London trip, no doubt tired but happy after their weekend adventure.
Reflections on a Wonderful Sunday
Looking back, today was a perfect balance of:
✔️ Teaching responsibility and good habits
✔️ Refreshing the home for the week ahead
✔️ Having fun and making memories
✔️ Engaging in personal growth through Freemasonry
Fearne was an absolute star today. When she’s determined, she puts 100% into everything she does, and it’s truly inspiring.
I love how our Sundays have started to develop into a mix of productivity and play, leaving us refreshed, connected, and ready for the week ahead.
Gratitude for Today

Final Thoughts
This was a Sunday well spent—a blend of teaching, teamwork, self-care, and meaningful moments.
Fearne’s determination and enthusiasm were the highlights of the day, and I love how she is growing into a responsible, creative, and fun-loving person.
I also feel grateful for the chance to reset my space, prepare for the week, and engage in Freemasonry, all while making time for deep breathing and self-care.
Here’s to more Sundays filled with balance, learning, and joy. ๐
