Friday 28th March 2025 - A Day of Productivity, Creativity, and Family Time

"I create space—physically, mentally, and emotionally—for what truly matters. I take action, stay present, and embrace each moment with purpose."

Hello all.

Today was a beautifully balanced day, filled with purpose, productivity, and precious moments with loved ones. Despite an early start at work, I remained committed to my morning routine, ensuring that I stayed grounded, focused, and ready to take on the day.

From handcrafting an easel to finally selling an item on eBay, preparing for Mother’s Day, and spending quality time with family, this day was a reminder that true fulfillment comes from both personal growth and meaningful connections.

Starting the Day Right: Meditation and Breathing

I firmly believe that how you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of the day.

☀️ Today began with my usual routine:
Wim Hof breathing exercises to energize my body and calm my mind.
A cold shower to boost alertness and resilience.
15 minutes of meditation to centre myself before the day unfolded.

This daily discipline has become an essential part of my life, allowing me to maintain mental clarity, control my eczema, and stay in a positive mindset—no matter how busy the day ahead may be.

A Special Morning at Work: Mother’s Day Assembly

Work started earlier than usual today as we had a Mother’s Day assembly—a heart-warming occasion celebrating the wonderful mothers and mother figures in our lives.

💐 The assembly was filled with:
🎶 Lovely performances and heartfelt words from the children.
💬 Messages of appreciation that reminded me of the importance of family.
😊 A warm and positive atmosphere that made the early start completely worth it.

It was a fantastic way to begin the day, and it set the tone for a smooth and productive time at work.

Building an Easel from Scratch

After work, it was time to get hands-on and creative. I decided to build an easel using pieces of wood and hinges—a project that was both practical and deeply satisfying.

🛠️ What I enjoyed about this project:
✔️ Using my DIY skills to create something from scratch.
✔️ The sense of accomplishment when the easel came together.
✔️ The satisfaction of working with my hands—something I don’t get to do often enough.

This kind of practical work is a refreshing break from digital tasks and technical problem-solving. Building something tangible brings a unique sense of achievement.

Finally Selling on eBay: Clearing Space for What Matters

One small but important win today was finally selling an eBay listing that had been sitting for weeks—a set of model cars I had struggled to sell.

📦 The benefits of selling this item:
✔️ Freed up more space in my office.
✔️ Let go of something I no longer needed.
✔️ Created a tiny but meaningful step toward decluttering.

I’ve learned that I value space over objects, and each time I remove unnecessary clutter, I feel a little lighter and more focused.

Mother’s Day Gifts: A Simple Gesture of Love

With Mother’s Day fast approaching, I made a trip to the supermarket to pick up gifts for both my mum and Juli.

🎁 I settled on:
🌸 Flowers – a timeless way to express appreciation.
🍫 Chocolates – because everyone deserves a sweet treat!
💌 A heartfelt card – a simple but meaningful gesture.
🍾 Alcohol – something they both enjoy.

While I wasn’t entirely sure what else to get, I know that thoughtfulness matters more than the price tag. I’m confident they’ll both appreciate these small but heartfelt gifts.

A Cozy Evening with Family

When I arrived home, I was delighted to see baby Aurora was staying the night!

👧 Fearne and Aurora had already built a den in the living room, making it their playful, messy little haven for the evening. The room remained “lived in” for the rest of the night, and honestly, that made it even more special.

The evening was filled with simple joys:
🍿 Watching “Last One Laughing UK” on Amazon Prime.
📺 Switching to more child-friendly TV for Aurora and Fearne.
🍬 A trip to the local shop for some sweets.

Sometimes, the best memories are made in the simplest moments—just being together, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company.

Re-evaluating My Use of YouTube for Motivation

After Juli, Fearne, and Aurora went to bed, I stayed up a little longer, watching motivational videos on YouTube.

📌 While I love learning and growing, I had a realization:
Watching too many motivational videos can become a distraction rather than a productive tool.
True motivation comes from action, not just consuming content.

I’ve decided to cut down on YouTube motivation videos and focus on taking real action toward my goals instead.

This is an important shift in how I use my time—every moment should either add value, bring joy, or move me forward.

Reflections on the Day

Today was a reminder that a fulfilling life is about balance:
✔️ Staying committed to personal growth (meditation, breathing, DIY projects).
✔️ Making progress on personal goals (decluttering, selling items, rethinking how I use time).
✔️ Spending quality time with loved ones, which truly matters most.

By the time I finally went to bed at 11:30 PM, I felt grateful, content, and ready to continue moving forward.

Gratitude for Today

🙏 I am grateful for:
💡 The ability to create something with my hands.
🎁 The chance to celebrate the important women in my life.
🏡 Precious family time that makes life meaningful.
📦 Letting go of items and creating more space for what matters.
🌱 The realization that motivation is about action, not just inspiration.

Practicing gratitude keeps me present and appreciative of the little things that make life great.
