“Every challenge I take on is an opportunity for growth and success.”
Hello all.
Today was another fulfilling and productive day, filled with both small victories and big accomplishments. My morning started with continuing my work on identifying staff for door access at the school. I found a couple more staff members and made some logical deductions on a few others. It feels great to see this process coming together!
Of course, I also kept up my regular updates for the Tees Valley Teaching School Hub social media channels. It's becoming a routine now, and I really enjoy keeping things consistent and engaging for our audience.
The highlight of my afternoon was teaching a Year Six class about ‘if and else’ statements in coding using BBC Micro:bits. Watching the students grasp the concepts and seeing their excitement as they experimented with code was incredibly rewarding.
After work, I asked for permission to borrow a screen and projector to present at the Durham County Referees Association meeting. As Secretary, I had the responsibility of delivering a presentation on modernizing the County RA's offerings. I arrived half an hour early, set up the room, and made sure everything was organized for a smooth presentation.
The presentation itself went well—I did stutter a couple of times, but overall, I think I got my points across clearly. The best part? The vote to implement my modernization plan was passed unanimously! I was absolutely thrilled with the outcome.
On my way home, I made a quick stop at a department store to pick up Valentine’s gifts for Juli. I hope she likes them when I give them to her tomorrow!
I didn’t have time to work on my other projects today, but that’s okay—I achieved so much, and I’ll catch up tomorrow.
