Tuesday 11th February 2025 - Progress Through Purpose

“Every task I complete brings me closer to my goals. My consistency and dedication create opportunities for growth.”

Hello all.

I am committed to sticking to my good routine, and today was another step forward. I cycled to work, feeling energized and ready to tackle the day. One of my main tasks was to individually identify and rename each fob for door access, matching them to the staff members they belong to. It was a long and tedious process, taking a couple of hours, but the payoff was worth it. Now, we can properly track who enters the building—a small but meaningful improvement!

After that, I scheduled the next round of social media posts for the Tees Valley Teaching School Hub, ensuring a steady flow of updates. Then, I moved on to something exciting—creating a Facebook group called UK Residents. The goal is to share useful content with people across the UK and eventually filter it down to local areas through smaller, regional groups. The real challenge now is to build engagement—encouraging friends to join and then asking them to invite others. It’s a slow process, but I know it will be worthwhile in the long run.

Another interesting task today was contacting Cambridgeshire Council to request details for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who recently transferred from there to Tees Valley. These admin tasks may not always be glamorous, but they are necessary and keep everything running smoothly.

Once back home, I continued my streak of productivity—publishing content for The Home Harmony Project, writing my very first blog post for TownHost, updating my personal blog, and listing more items for sale on eBay. Seeing these projects grow and take shape fills me with gratitude. Every step I take is laying the foundation for something bigger.

Over at the Home Harmony Project, I talk about how we try to create boundaries between work and life at home. Have a read here.

At TownHost, I wrote the first blog entry for my new website development service - 5 reasons to chose Managed Hosting over Shared Hosting. You can have a read of this here.

And if you fancy receiving positive news stories and opportunities, join the UK Residents Facebook group, and invite overs to join too. I will shortly be starting to publish content to spread a bit of happiness in our own corner of the internet.
