Thursday 27th February 2025 - An Open Letter to Google AdSense: My Content is Original, Purposeful, and Written by Me
"My words have value, my work is meaningful, and I am creating a positive impact in the world."
Dear Google AdSense Team,For the past three months, I have been applying and reapplying to have my websites—my personal blog (www.krismiddleton.co.uk) and the Home Harmony Project (www.homeharmonyproject.com)—approved for Google AdSense. My goal is simple: to generate a small, sustainable income that will allow me to fund new projects designed to help people become better versions of themselves.
I am passionate about routine, structure, and self-improvement, and I share my real-life experiences to inspire others. I believe that everyone is capable of making their own lives better—we don’t need to rely on others to fix our problems for us. However, modern life is filled with distractions, especially the mindless consumption of short, nonsensical videos that do nothing but waste our precious time. Instead of watching strangers being ridiculous for likes and clicks, why not use our incredible brains to solve problems, be creative, and live intentionally?
That is what my content is about. It’s about real life. It’s about showing people that small, consistent actions can lead to fulfilling, productive lives. And yet, my original, handcrafted content has been repeatedly rejected by Google AdSense.
The reasons given?
- "Low-quality content"
- "Not detailed enough"
- "Written by AI"
None of these could be further from the truth.
My Content is High-Quality and Purposeful
Every single post I write is created with care, thought, and experience. I document real-life routines, offering ideas and insights into how small changes can lead to productivity and happiness.
The Home Harmony Project, for example, is a structured approach to keeping a tidy home, reducing stress, and creating a calm, organized environment. Instead of dictating how people should live, I provide guidance and encouragement, leaving room for individual choice and personal adaptation.
For example, if I suggest tidying your bedroom on a Friday, I don’t tell people exactly how to do it. Instead, I offer options and strategies that people can choose from based on their own circumstances. I respect that everyone is equal, and my content reflects that philosophy.
Does this mean my content lacks detail? No.
Does this mean my content is low-quality? No.
Does this mean my content is AI-generated? Absolutely not.
My Content is 100% Human-Written
Every day, I dedicate hours of my time to writing, refining, and perfecting my blog posts. This includes:
- Researching and planning my content
- Writing from personal experience
- Proofreading and spell-checking
- Creating and styling original images
This is all me—a human writer with 25 years of copywriting experience.
It’s frustrating to be told that my work is AI-generated, simply because AI now sounds like me. I’ve been writing for decades, and if AI has learned to sound like a human, it’s because it has been trained on writing like mine—not the other way around.
I am not an AI. I am a writer, a creator, and someone who genuinely cares about helping people.
Why Google AdSense Approval Matters to Me
I am not looking to flood my website with ads. I simply want to place ads in a non-intrusive way, on the sidebar of my website pages, so that my audience is not distracted from the content itself.
The income generated from these ads will be reinvested into more projects—projects that help people. Whether it’s the Home Harmony Project, community engagement efforts, or future initiatives designed to empower individuals, every penny will go toward something meaningful.
I am not trying to game the system. I am not trying to trick AdSense into approving something that doesn’t belong. I simply want a fair chance to have my content recognized for what it truly is—valuable, authentic, and created with the best intentions.
So, I ask again—please reconsider my application.
Google's mission has always been to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. My websites align perfectly with that goal. I am not just creating content for profit—I am sharing knowledge, experiences, and guidance to help people.
If there are specific changes that need to be made, I am open to feedback. But labelling my work as "low-quality" or "AI-generated" is simply incorrect. I am more than willing to make reasonable adjustments to align with AdSense's policies—I just need to know what they are.
Until then, I will continue doing what I do best—writing, creating, and helping people find joy in their daily lives.
A Wonderful Pyjama Day

✔ Creating silly card games
It was fun, relaxing, and full of creativity. In between, I spent time on my laptop, writing the next batch of content, and trying to figure out why my original work is being flagged as low-quality (which it definitely isn’t).
Despite the setback, I am grateful for everything I accomplished. Every day is another opportunity to build, learn, and move forward.
