Hello all.
Today was all about celebration and family time! I let myself have a well-earned rest and didn’t get out of bed until 10:00 AM—last week’s workload had really taken its toll, and I needed the extra sleep.
It was Fearne’s birthday party today, even though her actual birthday isn’t until Wednesday. I had the important role of DJ, so I put together a playlist of songs, tested the laptop and speakers, and made sure everything was set up perfectly.
We had booked the school’s sports hall for a few hours, and it was packed with fun activities, including:
🎈 Soft play & a bouncy castle
🎨 Face painting
🎈 Balloon animals
I sat to the side, blasting music as loud as possible, and it was a hit! The kids had an absolute blast, and a few parents even approached me afterward, saying they’d love for me to DJ at their children's parties in the future. That’s something to think about!
The party was a success but exhausting. Afterward, we stayed behind to tidy up, which took some time, and by the time I got home, I was ready to crash.
To wind down, Fearne and I spent the rest of the evening relaxing in front of the TV, watching nonsensical shows and snacking on leftover party food. It was the perfect way to end the day—just enjoying each other’s company, laughing, and unwinding.
