Monday 10th February 2025 - A Day of Purpose and Productivity

“I am making a difference, one action at a time. Every step I take is leading me toward my purpose.”

Hello all.

Today was all about returning to my normal life routine—sticking to it fully to ensure a balanced and fulfilling day (and no late-night website building… because I finished it over the weekend!).

The morning started with getting the house in order before heading to work. I arrived just in time for the school assembly, which was a wonderful way to start the day. Listening to stories about the glory of Jesus always grounds me and reminds me of the values I strive to uphold.

After assembly, a colleague handed me a broken hard drive containing precious family files they desperately wanted to recover. At first, it seemed like a lost cause—the hard drive would power up briefly but not long enough to extract anything. I spent an hour troubleshooting, trying to recover the partition, and just when I was about to run out of options, I found a data recovery tool offering 2GB of free recovery. I only needed 900MB, and thankfully, I was able to extract old diary entries written by their children years ago. Seeing the sheer joy and gratitude on their face was the highlight of my morning.

With positive energy flowing, I moved on to my daily commitment of keeping the Tees Valley Teaching School Hub’s social media and website updated. Today, I focused on Initial Teacher Training (ITT), and tomorrow, I’ll highlight another service we offer.

The rest of the workday was spent correcting spreadsheets—so many incorrect email addresses to fix! This was yet another reminder that I really need to develop a database for the Hub. The number of spreadsheets with duplicated data is enough to drive anyone insane. I’ll make this a priority in the coming weeks. I also reached out to another Appropriate Body elsewhere in the country to request records for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) now registered with us.

After work, I collected an Xbox 360 to be sold through Ebay Boosters, posted a couple of tablets I had sold, and spent the evening publishing fresh content for The Home Harmony Project. I also listed another item for sale and scheduled my first set of posts for TownHost.

It was such a productive and meaningful day. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about helping others, whether it’s recovering treasured memories, improving systems at work, or continuing to build my own business. Every step forward, no matter how small, is part of a bigger journey.
