"Each task I complete brings me closer to my goals, and I am grateful for the opportunity to make progress every day."
Hello all.
Today was one of those deeply satisfying days filled with ticking off odd jobs and making meaningful progress. At work, I had the pleasure of setting up a new email account for one of our school governors, complete with multi-factor authentication. Once her phone is updated with the latest software, she’ll be all set to go!
In Year 3, I prepared a lesson plan on spreadsheets and graph-making, laying the groundwork for the teacher to dive into this practical topic with the students over the next few days. I also managed to resolve a payment mix-up by transferring credits from school dinners to nursery—small wins like these really do add up!
One of the highlights of the day was filming in our nursery to promote the amazing activities they provide. It’s such a joy to showcase the magic that happens there. I also made a key recommendation about upgrading our school’s CCTV system, ensuring the campus remains safe and secure.
Later in the day, I found time to free up some much-needed space by taking computers and old carpet to the recycling centre. It felt so good to declutter both at work and at home!
Of course, not everything went smoothly. Our School Business Manager ran into trouble accessing resources for an upcoming first aid training course due to firewall issues. Unfortunately, I’m still waiting on the Trust to fix that. But on the bright side, I successfully reconnected a local optician’s email system, which had gone offline. That small victory ended the workday on a high note.
In the evening, I received confirmation that the County Referees Association meeting in February is officially happening, as the room was finally booked. I was excited to send out the agenda and invite everyone to join. The next step is preparing my presentation to pitch modernization ideas to the referee members—something I’m really looking forward to.
Finally, I worked on the next batch of content for the Home Harmony Project, including uploading a new video to the YouTube channel. I even found time to reset a couple more laptops for resale through eBay Boosters. All in all, it was a productive and fulfilling day, filled with little accomplishments that moved the needle forward.
