Hello all.
Today was all about TownHost. After completing the services and packages section of the website, I could finally see the finish line within reach. Only a few more pages remain, but with writing content, drawing custom images, and designing layouts, the task is anything but trivial. However, the sense of accomplishment from completing the services section gave me the motivation to dive into the next phase of the project.
While I was immersed in web development, Juli, Fearne, and her teenage boys enjoyed a day out at Dalton Park. They visited The Hole in the Wand, a wizard-themed indoor golf course I had experienced earlier this year with my colleagues. Fearne, who has been captivated by the Lampton Worm story recently, was thrilled to discover that the course was themed around it. Since I’d already been and the group size was limited to four, I stayed back to focus on TownHost.
The positive energy I’ve been channelling from developing The Legend of Skippy concept and seeing TownHost evolve as part of that world is truly inspiring. By early afternoon, I had set up the TownHost blog, which I plan to use to teach web development and share knowledge with others. I also created pages that will allow developers to sign up and establish their own local TownHost services. As of today, I’ve created 230 unique images for the project—each one essential for showcasing its professionalism and creativity.
Later in the day, I had to pause my work to run some errands before the shops closed for the New Year celebrations. Juli needed spray adhesive for her crafting projects, but we couldn’t remember where she had purchased it previously. A quick search led me to a shop 20 minutes away. Despite the relentless rain, I made the trip and got what she needed.
As evening arrived, we all settled in to celebrate the end of 2024 and welcome 2025. Reflecting on the past year, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for everything I’ve achieved. What started as a collection of ideas and plans in early 2024 has blossomed into a series of projects that fill me with pride.
From setting up this very blog and seeing eBay Boosters thrive to watching the Home Harmony Project inspire positive change, and now building TownHost as a platform for innovation, I’m thrilled with the progress. Tying it all together is The Legend of Skippy, which I hope will become a guiding light for all my endeavours.
As 2025 begins, I’m determined to create content that inspires others and keeps me motivated. This journey is just beginning, and I can’t wait to see where it leads.
