“Each step I take brings me closer to achieving my goals, and I am grateful for the progress I make every day.”
Hello all.
It was a busy yet deeply fulfilling day, filled with meaningful tasks and progress in various areas of life.
Back at work, I started the day by preparing the school laptops for our Year 3 class. They used them to create pictographs related to geography, and it was wonderful to see their creativity and learning in action. I also tackled some administrative work, updating the Appropriate Body finance spreadsheet and the attendance spreadsheet.
One of the highlights of my day was sending out 20 congratulatory emails to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who had successfully completed their two-year induction. It’s always such a pleasure to celebrate the milestones of others, especially when it marks the beginning of an exciting chapter in their careers as bonafide teachers.
The rest of the workday involved chasing up various pieces of information to ensure all our records were accurate and up-to-date. It felt satisfying to see everything coming together, bit by bit.
After work, I made my way to the local post office to ship the iMac I had sold, starting its journey to its new home. Once back, I carved out some time to update my blog and publish the next post for the Home Harmony Project – another step forward in sharing positivity and encouragement with others.
In the evening, I focused on my personal projects. I spent an hour working on the TownHost website, optimizing pages for SEO to help them rank better on search engines. I also listed a PC graphics card for sale on eBay using eBay Boosters – keeping the momentum going on decluttering and repurposing items.
To close out the day, I dedicated a couple of hours to practicing my Charge of Initiation for the Freemasons. It’s a work in progress, but I’m proud of how much I’ve improved so far.
Every task, big or small, contributed to a fulfilling day, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to balance work, creativity, and personal growth.
