"Even on quiet days, opportunities for growth and creativity abound. Embrace the space to dream, design, and prepare for the future."
Hello all.
As the first day back at work after the Christmas break unfolded, I was filled with gratitude for the opportunity to ease back into my routine. The day didn’t overwhelm me with tasks, but it gave me space to focus on creativity and preparation for the projects that excite me most.
Work began slowly—20 emails awaited me after the holidays, all of them notifications with no pressing tasks. The only assignment I had was setting up a restricted document for a colleague, a referral form to support children through the local authority. With that quickly completed, I turned my attention to something close to my heart: designing the Legends Network logo and drafting the story of The Legend of Skippy.
The hours passed effortlessly as I poured my creativity into these endeavours. I’m grateful for a workplace environment that didn’t mind me using this quiet time to work on my passion projects.
The evening was busy but rewarding. I collected Fearne from her dancing class and headed straight to my referees’ monthly meeting. It’s always inspiring to connect with others who share the same enthusiasm for refereeing. By the time we returned home around 9:30 PM, the Spaghetti Bolognese I had prepared earlier was ready to enjoy—a perfect end to a productive and creative day.
