Wednesday 4th December 2024 - A Day of Dedication and Progress

I am grateful for the opportunity to help others, stay focused on my goals, and find solutions to challenges. Every step forward brings me closer to my vision.

Hello all.

Today was a full and rewarding day, and I’m filled with gratitude for all the tasks I managed to accomplish. At work, I started by updating the Appropriate Body Finance and Briefing spreadsheets, which is always an important step in keeping things running smoothly. Then, I moved a performance stage over to the Church opposite the school to set it up ready for the schools Christmas production. It involved carrying lots of heavy equipment and labouring to build the stage, but I made sure to give it my best effort and set up properly.

Next, I was on to supporting our Year 2 and Year 3 classes. The Year 2 students needed iPads for a lesson, while Year 3 needed laptops to complete their work on Branching Databases, and submit their work before the end of the school day. Unfortunately, we couldn’t complete everything on time, so I stayed an extra hour after school to ensure all the students’ work was handed in. While this was a little challenging, I’m thankful for the opportunity to help make sure the students didn’t miss out due to technical issues.

Speaking of which, there seems to be an issue with the school’s internet connectivity when all the students are working at once, so I’ll be addressing this with the trust to ensure it gets sorted.

On my way home, I dropped off a couple of eBay packages I’d sold—a small but satisfying part of my day. Then, I spent the evening updating the Home Harmony Project website, adding new content and polishing up existing pages. I also dedicated some time to developing the next batch of pages for the TownHost website, keeping the momentum going on both fronts.

One of the highlights of my day was hearing from Diane, a lovely lady who had come to collect a computer I’d fixed for her. Her computer hadn’t worked for a couple of weeks due to a faulty screen, but I was able to resolve the issue by installing an update for her graphics driver. It’s always fulfilling to help someone get back on track with their tech!
