I trust my creativity and vision to guide me toward building something truly special.
Hello all.
Today was one of those days that fills me with gratitude and excitement for what lies ahead. It was a perfect balance of planning, family time, and inspiration from one of the greatest football managers of all time.
As usual, I set my alarm for 7 AM, but the holiday comfort kept me in bed until after 8 AM. No harm done, though—I eased into the day by organizing the house and doing my Wim Hof breathing exercises. The deep breathing truly sets the tone for relaxation and focus. I’m especially proud of how well I kept AMAS out of my thoughts today, fully embracing my decision to trust the automated system and focus on the present.
The morning was a whirlwind of fun with Fearne. We made cupcakes together—her enthusiasm for mixing ingredients and creating chaos always makes me smile. Despite the mess, we somehow produced a batch of delicious treats that we happily nibbled on.
After lunch, we ventured out to gather birthday presents for my mum. Fearne, ever the voice of reason, insisted we walk so she could ride her new scooter. It was a wonderful idea—the fresh air did us both good. With gifts and cards in hand, we returned home for some calm activities. Fearne spent time drawing and colouring while I worked on linking more pages and services on the TownHost website.
Our plans for a park visit were shelved as the weather turned dark and windy, so we pivoted to dancing and watching one of Fearne’s favourite shows, Odd Squad. I love how it encourages her to think critically and learn about math in a fun way.
Later, while Fearne played with her dolls, I had the chance to watch a documentary about Sir Alex Ferguson. His ability to adapt, lead, and inspire resonated deeply with me. It reminded me of the kind of leader I want to be, not just for my projects but for the community I’m building. This led to a burst of creativity as I envisioned the future of The Legend of Skippy universe.
I allowed myself time to write down my ideas, creating an initial concept for how Skippy will bring all my projects together into an interactive and engaging hub. It’s exciting to imagine building something that not only inspires me but will also connect with others.
The evening slipped away as we enjoyed Taskmaster’s New Year Treat and Derren Brown before I caught up with the latest football results on Match of the Day. I went to bed feeling inspired, energized, and ready to take the next steps toward bringing my vision to life.
I’m deeply thankful for this day of balance, creativity, and inspiration.
