I embrace change as an opportunity to grow, adapt, and accomplish wonderful things.
Hello all.
Sometimes unexpected changes can pave the way for new opportunities. Today, my football match was cancelled due to stormy weather, which gave me the chance to redirect my energy and accomplish so much.
The morning began with a focused session on the TownHost website. I started adding the detailed package pages, ensuring each one was tailored to meet specific client needs. It’s a big task, but I loved diving into the process of shaping the services that will bring others’ visions to life.
In the afternoon, Fearne enjoyed a play date with a friend from school. Meanwhile, Juli and I tackled a big home project: installing the new carpet in Henry’s bedroom. We spent hours prepping the space—clearing it out, laying the underlay, and getting everything ready for the big fit tomorrow. Juli was in charge of the carpet fitting, while I handled the heavy lifting of large items like Henry’s bed frame and gaming desk.
Henry was an incredible help too, using his strength from gym training to assist with the challenging task of rolling out the carpet and moving it up two flights of stairs. Despite my hand still healing from last week's dog bite, the teamwork made the effort worthwhile. Henry will sleep in Keiron’s room tonight, but by tomorrow, he’ll have a beautifully refreshed space!
Later, while Juli picked up Fearne, I attended my Freemasons rehearsal for our Lodge’s most significant event of the year: the installation of the new master. It’s always a meaningful moment, and though I fumbled my lines during the rehearsal, I’m determined to practice and get them just right for the ceremony.
Back home, I squeezed in another productive session on TownHost, writing more pages for the site before wrapping up at 9 PM. The evening ended with some well-deserved family time, relaxing and watching TV together.
Even when plans change, there’s always room for gratitude. Today was a testament to adaptability, teamwork, and finding joy in progress.
