Saturday 28th December 2024 - Focusing on Balance and Awareness

I honour my time and energy, staying present and mindful in every moment.

Hello all.

Today was an insightful day, full of lessons and moments of gratitude. As I navigated through my tasks, I realized I was unintentionally filling my day with activities while waiting for AMAS to complete its work. This awareness is a gift, and I’m determined to ensure that my time is spent mindfully and purposefully moving forward.

The day started with a refreshing routine—getting the house in order, practicing Wim Hof deep breathing, completing my exercises, and enjoying some meditation. These habits always help center me and prepare me for a productive day. Once I switched on AMAS to run in the background, I noticed we were low on a few essentials.

My walk to the supermarket turned into a dual-purpose activity, replenishing supplies while listening to the lines for my upcoming Freemasons meeting in January. The Charge of Initiation is challenging, but I enjoy the sense of accomplishment that comes with learning it.

On my way to the shop, I had an unexpected encounter with an old colleague. They launched into their computer troubles without asking how I was—a reminder of the draining relationships that led me to step away from tech repair. While it was frustrating, I felt grateful for how far I’ve come. I now prioritize surrounding myself with people who genuinely care about me, and I’ve set clear boundaries to protect my peace.

Back home, I spent an hour making progress on the TownHost website. Linking the services felt productive, and I’m taking it at my own pace to ensure it’s done well. It’s exciting to see the pieces coming together! After lunch I noticed the toilet seat in the shower room wasn't attached anymore, so I screwed it back on to make it safe.

The rest of the day was a mix of relaxation and family time. I enjoyed reading an article about World of Warcraft celebrating its 20th anniversary in Edge magazine, played games with Fearne, and made tea for everyone. It was during this time that I noticed my preoccupation with AMAS. While its purpose is to work automatically, I found myself checking it often, letting it consume too much of my mental space.

I’m grateful for recognizing this shift in my mindset and taking action. I’ve decided to treat AMAS as a tool, turning it on at the start of the day and off at the end. This will help me stay present with my family and focus on the things that truly matter.

Learning about World of Warcraft and League of Legends has also been inspiring. Their success reminds me of the potential to create something enduring and impactful. As I continue developing my services and aspire to get into game development, I hope to draw on the lessons these iconic games offer.

Every day is an opportunity to grow, and I’m thankful for the insights this one brought.
