Hello all.
Today was a whirlwind of activity, but I’m proud of everything I accomplished. I started the day with to-do lists—my secret weapon for staying on top of things. Setting clear goals on my laptop always helps me stay organised and motivated, and there’s nothing quite like ticking off a task when it’s done.
The morning was all about creating playlists for the School Disco. With three age groups to cater to—Daycare, Early Years, and School children—I curated two hours of age-appropriate songs for each group on Amazon Music. Fearne joined me for this task, enthusiastically suggesting songs and enjoying the music herself. She’s eager to come along to the disco, though sadly, her own school schedule won’t allow it.
In the afternoon, I switched gears completely for a football match. As the referee for the Wearside League Division 1 clash between Wolviston and Gateshead Leam Rangers Reserves, I faced the challenge of officiating without Assistants, meaning I had to make all the offside calls on my own. It was a cracking game, ending in a thrilling 3-3 draw. I was being assessed on my performance, which made me a bit nervous, but I gave it my all. Fingers crossed I did well!
Later, I tackled a task that had been lingering on my list for weeks—writing up the minutes for the Hartlepool Masonic Benevolence Association meeting from early November. It felt so good to finally cross it off! I’ll be emailing the minutes to the representatives tomorrow, which is another weight off my shoulders.
Today was busy, but I’m ending it feeling accomplished and ready for whatever tomorrow brings.
