I embrace each day with purpose, knowing that every task, moment of reflection, and celebration brings fulfillment and growth.
Hello all.
Today brought a mix of productivity, reflection, and celebration, making it one of those days where everything felt meaningful.
The workday began with the usual Teaching School Hub admin—emails, updating records, and keeping the systems running smoothly. As the school prepared for Friday’s Christmas production, I helped classes safely cross the road to church for their rehearsals. A highlight of the day was filming Advent Waiting, a serene 10-minute gathering in the assembly hall where we light the advent candles and reflect together. It’s a beautiful, calming moment that helps me reset for the day. Tomorrow, this will be shared on the school's social media channels to let parents join in the spirit.
The main task of the day was developing the Teaching School Hub database user interface. I’ve tailored it so that users see different options based on their level of access, ensuring a streamlined and secure experience for everyone. It’s coming together really well!
After work, I dropped off another parcel from my eBay Boosters sales on the way home and submitted an application to have one of my football matches observed this Saturday. Fingers crossed the storm clears up and the game goes ahead!
At home, I shifted focus to the Home Harmony Project, publishing an article about the benefits of waking up an hour earlier. It’s a transformative habit that allows time for calm, organization, and intention-setting before the day begins. You can read the full article through the link below.
The evening brought more joy, starting with my second Freemasons rehearsal. Everyone had clearly practiced, and it went brilliantly! I remembered all my lines, which feels like a big win. Afterward, I joined Juli and Fearne at a Christmas party hosted by Grace Church in Hartlepool. The live band and Christmas carols made it such a festive event. I may have sung too enthusiastically—hopefully, my voice recovers by tomorrow!
