Tuesday 26th November 2024 - A Day of Problem-Solving and Celebration

 Hello all,

Today started on a bit of a hectic note. I was late getting into work because the kitchen needed sorting out yet again. While it felt frustrating at the time, I reminded myself how much better it is to leave things in order for the rest of the family.

When I finally arrived at work, I focused on completing the setup of new computer equipment at the Teaching School Hub. It was incredibly satisfying to see everyone enjoying their upgraded technology, and I even treated myself to a wireless keyboard! It's a small upgrade, but it’s made such a difference in my workflow already.

The main task of the day was setting up the nursery PowerPoint display on the TV in their main entrance. Everything was prepared and ready to go, but unfortunately, the TV refused to cooperate. I tried switching cables, connecting different laptops, and troubleshooting every way I could think of—but nothing worked. I’ll be bringing in another cable tomorrow to give it one last attempt. If that doesn’t work, it looks like I’ll need to come up with a Plan B. Challenges like this can be frustrating, but I’m determined to get it sorted for the nursery staff and the little ones who will benefit from it.

The day ended on a much brighter note as part of my birthday celebrations. We headed out for a game of Wizard Golf at Dalton Park, and it was absolutely fantastic! The whimsical theme and the chance to laugh and relax made it such a special experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to unwind and celebrate.

Days like today remind me that even when challenges arise, there’s always something to be grateful for. Whether it’s the kindness of colleagues, the joy of small victories, or the fun of spending time with my work family, I’m learning to embrace it all with gratitude.
