Hello all,
After the half-term break, it was time to get back into the swing of things. I woke up at 7:00 AM, feeling eager to tackle the day ahead. However, the morning started on a challenging note—Lola, our dog, tried to bite me again. I had to simply ignore it, staying focused on my goal of setting off early to cycle to work.
The workday was packed with tasks that kept me busy and engaged. In the Year 3 class, the laptops were needed for a lesson on branching databases. I also installed a new printer across all computers in the Tees Valley Teaching School Hub, ensuring everything ran smoothly for the staff. Additionally, I had to order replacement projector bulbs for some dimmed classroom projectors.
The highlight of the day, however, was replacing a missing keyboard key. After a bit of investigation, I discovered the letter "P" had been removed—quite literally, someone had taken the "P"! It was a lighthearted moment that brought some laughter to an otherwise technical day.
The rest of my workday involved plenty of data entry to keep spreadsheets up to date and starting a PowerPoint presentation that will eventually be displayed on the nursery entrance TV. It felt good to make steady progress on these tasks.
In the evening, I attended a referees meeting at 7:30 PM, which was insightful as always. I also managed to package and send off some eBay items I’d sold through eBay Boosters. It’s always rewarding to tick those little tasks off the list.
Despite the full day, I ended up staying up later than planned to keep momentum on the Home Harmony Project. Writing the detailed Deep Cleaning Articles is proving to be quite the marathon, but I know it’ll all pay off once the website is complete.
While the day was undeniably busy, it was productive, and I’m grateful for the balance between work, hobbies, and personal projects.
