Hello all,
At last, I had a full 8 hours of sleep! It felt amazing to wake up feeling well-rested. Juli was heading off to Scotland for a four-day trip with her mum, so I had the responsibility of taking Fearne to school and dropping Juli off at the bus stop before my usual IT workload at school. It was another busy day, but I was determined to stay on track.
Our Year 3 class needed the laptops for their lessons, so I made sure to charge them up and deliver them to the classroom in time. One task I started was building the new hub database, and it quickly became clear to me that this would be a long-term project. The process could take several months, and the complexity of it hit me as I got further into the core features of the system.
In the middle of my day, I noticed that the computer I had recently upgraded wasn’t Wi-Fi enabled, meaning it couldn’t connect to the internet wirelessly. So, I picked up a Wi-Fi dongle to solve the issue and get everything back on track. It’s little challenges like these that make the job interesting but also time-consuming.
Later on, I took Fearne to the shop to buy some new school shoes as her old ones had fallen apart after just seven weeks. It was a reminder that, even when things feel a bit frustrating, life keeps moving forward.
In the evening, I made spaghetti Bolognese for tea, and it was nice to spend a relaxing evening with Fearne. I also managed to schedule the next pieces of content for the Home Harmony Project, which is coming along nicely.
I was thrilled to see some new items had been sold on eBay through eBay Boosters, and it’s been great to feel like I’m getting back into a solid routine—organizing work during work hours and being present at home. My work-life balance is slowly but surely falling into place.
