Hello all.
We all woke up around 7:30 AM. Juli wasn’t feeling too well, but she powered through her day like a trooper. I stuck to my cleaning schedule and turned my focus to the cooker. After giving it a thorough clean, it looked shiny and new. With the glass doors spotless, it’s so much easier to see the food cooking inside!
I’ve been a little behind on my schedule these past few days, but I caught up by tackling two tasks at once today: cleaning out the toaster and descaling the kettle. It only took 15 minutes, and soon enough, I was enjoying a slice of toast with a lovely cup of hot blackcurrant from a perfectly clean kettle.
In the afternoon, I refereed a local women's football match: FC Hartlepool Women vs. Darlington RA Ladies. It was a thrilling game that flowed back and forth with both teams pushing hard for the win. FC Hartlepool came out on top with a 5-4 victory, highlighting just how exciting the match was.
After the game, I took some time to visit my mum. I hadn’t been able to see her last week because of my nephew's birthday party in Newcastle, but she was in good spirits today. She mentioned that not much had happened over the past couple of weeks and that she’s still waiting for her knee operation, which can’t come soon enough.
Once home, I got into my recovery routine again—20 minutes in an Epsom salts bath, followed by 15 minutes of meditation with my legs elevated to help with knee swelling. Juli had made a delicious chicken curry for tea, which hit the spot perfectly.
The rest of the evening was spent relaxing with the family, watching the second Transformers movie, Revenge of the Fallen. It was action-packed enough to keep us all entertained.
Before bed, I stuck to my cleaning routine and made sure the kitchen was spotless and wiped down. I’m happy to report I’m almost done deep cleaning every room in the house—just the bedrooms left to go now.
