Tuesday 22nd October 2024 - The Final Pieces Before Launching Ebay Boosters

 Hello all.

This morning I followed my routine to the letter and felt the great sense of accomplishment that comes with being back on track. When I arrived at work, however, I found our Year 5 teacher’s laptop was terribly unresponsive. After a bit of troubleshooting, I discovered the cause: our internet speed, which should have been 100 Mbps (still relatively slow in 2024), was operating at a mere 6 Mbps. I contacted our school trust about the issue, and although they quickly replied, the response didn’t quite satisfy. They indicated that the building’s network load caused the sluggish speeds, even though we’re not an overly device-heavy school. The situation left me a bit frustrated, so I sent a message to our school business manager explaining the impact this limitation has on our daily work. Hopefully, the message resonates with our trust, as better connectivity would be a game-changer for us all.

Throughout the day, I managed to complete several admin tasks. A key one involved repositioning the equipment I’d set up for our nursery last week. This required moving a few items to create more space, but it was worth the effort—it now fits perfectly and leaves plenty of room for the children to explore, organize their toys, and play freely. Seeing this improvement was truly rewarding!

In between tasks, I continued the work of backing up data for my former colleague who recently moved to Cyprus. Progress here is steady, and soon I’ll be able to send it all over to her.

After work, I spent some time meditating, then enjoyed a homemade Quorn Spaghetti Bolognese—always a cozy favourite. I also took another productive step forward with eBay Boosters, my new venture. Today, I set up a LinkedIn company page and finalized the Twitter (now X) account. With the logo, website, social media channels, and established eBay account all ready, I feel the project is well-prepared to start making a positive impact. I’m excited to help people declutter, make some money, and find joy in the process. I can’t wait to see where this venture leads!
